
Hosted on 27 October 2025, this ADUN webinar brought together perspectives from Europe, Ukraine and across Africa to explore how OERs are being developed, localised and sustained in diverse higher-education settings.
Speakers
• Mira Buist-Zhuk (TU Delft) – Shared insights on European national coordination models, collaborative OER ecosystems, and the role of open resources in maintaining educational access during crisis conditions in Ukraine.
• Dr Jako Olivier (Commonwealth of Learning) – Highlighted how sustainable OER adoption requires supportive policy, capacity building, quality assurance and meaningful localisation.
• Dr Jacqueline Bock (Namibia University of Science and Technology) – Reflected on NUST’s journey toward developing OER policies, implementation guidelines, capacity-building pathways and an institutional repository.
