Hosted on 27 October 2025, this ADUN webinar brought together perspectives from Europe, Ukraine and across Africa to explore how OERs are being developed, localised and sustained in diverse higher-education settings.

Speakers
Mira Buist-Zhuk (TU Delft) – Shared insights on European national coordination models, collaborative OER ecosystems, and the role of open resources in maintaining educational access during crisis conditions in Ukraine.
Dr Jako Olivier (Commonwealth of Learning) – Highlighted how sustainable OER adoption requires supportive policy, capacity building, quality assurance and meaningful localisation.
Dr Jacqueline Bock (Namibia University of Science and Technology) – Reflected on NUST’s journey toward developing OER policies, implementation guidelines, capacity-building pathways and an institutional repository.
